Margherita Pizza Recipe


Ingredients (for 2 medium pizzas):

For the dough:


2 ½ cups flour


1 tsp salt


1 tsp sugar


1 tsp dry yeast


¾ cup warm water


1 tbsp olive oil



For the topping:


¾ cup crushed San Marzano tomatoes


Salt to taste


200g fresh mozzarella


Fresh basil leaves


1–2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:


1. Mix dough ingredients, knead until smooth, and let rise 1–2 hours.



2. Preheat oven to 250°C (480°F).



3. Spread crushed tomato over dough, add mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.



4. Bake 7–10 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.



5. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
